Dare To . . . Retreats
Our future rests in our young women, because as Melinda Gates said,
“When you lift up women, you lift up humanity.”
During Global Entrepreneurship Week 2021 (November 8-12), with the generous support of The Veale Foundation, we are livestreaming four Retreats for Northeast Ohio young women in high school to build their confidence, (re)discover their purpose, and create their future. Each interactive Retreat will take place from 8:30a.m. to 1:00p.m. Eastern United States time:
November 8: Dare to Dream Retreat, focused on building entrepreneurial confidence
November 10: Dare to Build Retreat, focused on STEM / entrepreneurship / economic empowerment
November 11: Dare to Create Retreat, focused on developing creative artists with an entrepreneurial toolkit
November 12: Dare to Start Retreat, focused on developing the skills & mindset to successfully launch the right business FOR YOU
In 2018 we started producing a series of one-day events, weekend retreats, and workshops that encourage high school students to live a big life and to dream even bigger by developing confidence, being vulnerable, and setting and pursuing powerful goals.
Our first Dare to Dream Retreat brought 100 high school women to the JCU campus in the fall of 2018 to instill confidence, empower vulnerability, and enable them to take one step toward their dream. Our second Dare to Dream Retreat brought nearly 1,000 high school women to Playhouse Square in Downtown Cleveland!
As 2020 wreaked havoc on live events, we partnered with Hathaway Brown student and Cleveland blogger Charlotte Wasserman to deliver a virtual Dare to Get Gritty event, where nearly 200 high school women were empowered to be brave, resilient, to build community, and to cultivate and hone their leadership skills.
