Dare To Dream Retreat
With the generous support of The Veale Foundation, in November 8 and 9, 2021 we welcomed the #DareToDreamRetreat back to JCU, and added the #DareToStartRetreat. Over these two days, nearly 200 high school young women from 12 regional high schools spent a day being guided by amazing JCU students through activities empowering them to live a big life and to dream even bigger by developing confidence, being vulnerable, and setting and pursuing powerful goals.
Huge thanks to Sarah McAllister, Maria Coughlin, Julia Ruggiero, Lucia Cannata, Charlotte Wasserman, Uchechukwu Ike, Jessica Thomas, and Sarah Molyet for creating ripples that will one day be huge waves.
In 2018 we started producing a series of one-day events, weekend retreats, and workshops to empower high school students to dream big. Our first Dare to Dream Retreat brought 100 high school women to the JCU campus in the fall of 2018 to instill confidence, empower vulnerability, and enable them to take one step toward their dream.
Our second Dare to Dream Retreat in 2019 brought nearly 1,000 high school women to Playhouse Square in Downtown Cleveland, where they heard from US Olympic gold medal gymnast Gabby Douglas!
Our third annual Dare to Dream Retreat in 2021 we returned to campus and hosted 100 young women to build their entrepreneurial confidence so they can identify and pursue their big ideas.
Our fourth annual Dare to Dream Retreat in 2022 brought over 100 young women to our campus to build their confidence, (re)discover their purpose, and create their future.
